Applying to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University
Prescott, Arizona
3 Ways to Apply for Undergraduate Admissions:
Contact
the Office of Admissions for available
scholarships.
To apply:
- Complete the application for admission. You can fill
out the application online, download
the application and submit it by mail, or request a
paper application by calling Embry-Riddle Admissions at 1-800-888-3728
or 1-928-777-6600.
- Official High School Transcripts or GED scores. If you have
completed less than 30 college credits, your transcript or GED
scores must be mailed directly to us by the issuing institution.
- Transcripts from any colleges/universities attended. Your transcript
must be mailed directly to us by the issuing institution.
- Advanced Placement: If you wish to receive advance standing
credit, please arrange to have your scores from the College Board
Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), College
Level Examination Program (CLEP), or Dual Enrollment forwarded
directly from the testing agency to the Director of Admissions
at Embry-Riddle.
- ACT and/or SAT scores
- $50 non-refundable application fee. If you are applying online,
you will be given the option to submit your application fee electronically.
If you are submitting a paper application, include a check or
money order made payable to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Please print your name and phone number on the check and submit
it with your application. If payment of the $50 application fee
poses a financial hardship, you can ask your guidance counselor
to issue a request for fee waiver. The waiver should be forwarded
with your application for admission.
- Letters of recommendation. Letters from a teacher or employer
can address areas of your background that are not always evident
in your academic record. We suggest you submit two letters of
recommendation. Forms are available for your convenience and you
can download
them here in PDF format. The forms are optional, written
letters of recommendation submitted by your references that are
acceptable.
Optional Information
Admission essay. While an essay is not required for admission,
it may help us to assess your qualifications. You may include an
essay when you submit your application package.
- Interviews. An interview may be scheduled with an admissions
counselor. This interview is not required. We can gain similar
information from your letters of recommendation. If you are unable
to visit campus, contact the admissions office or click here (link
to area events) for a list of events in your area.
- Resume: Though not required, we appreciate your academic and
extra-curricular activities to be summarized in a resume format
to include accomplishments, activities, awards, honors, employment,
etc.
Flight students must also submit a copy of their FAA Class I or
Class II medical certificate before they may be enrolled in flight
classes. Although these medical certifications are not required
to be admitted to the University, we highly recommend that you secure
your medical certificate and submit it directly to the Admissions
Office before you arrive on campus, if you plan to enroll in flight
courses. See an aviation medical examiner directory at: http://ame.cami.jccbi.gov
